62 then 66 then 65. Should be fairly ok at that time. Cross country is prettier but will take a fair bit longer

I have done this trip cross country via Halifax, Hebden Bridge, and Todmorden. Its much shorter, but as Cit says, the motorway may well be quicker. However, I'll bet the difference isn't huge.

Difference depends on the traffic really, single lane all the way from King's Cross in Halifax through Hebden so if there's a tractor/caravan/accident it can seriously delay you.

On a clear run though, it's a nice drive especially so after Portsmouth in Todmorden, good driving roads through the middle.

kings cross halifax? get yourself into the old cemetary when you have a minute its fascinating, (its next to the road in front of the big folly if its still there)
