Toyota Pattern Parts - Greg R
Hi

My freind at work has a problem with his car, where it needs new sensors.

It is an Avensis.

Does anyone know websites / brands / places where pattern parts can be purchased that are Pattern Parts. I know Blueprint do them. Can someone give other manufacturers / websites.

keep to mr blue they certainly have got the market and now know how to charge, but they doa worka propa guv.

I've found with Honda that genuine parts are often no dearer than pattern bits of much reduced quality. Always ask at the dealer's first.

ADL Blue print (available through factors) offer a wide range of aftermarket parts for Japanese vehicles and will probably be cheaper than genuine stuff.

Toyota Pattern Parts - Aprilia
I buy some Blueprint parts via CAS factors (Central Auto Spares) - although I find Blueprint prices rather too high, in some cases not much less than the part from a dealer. I am not that keen on them to be honest.

Nipparts BV are a big Belgian company who import parts from Japan and sell pan-Europe, they have a good range and you can get them online from Sutton Auto Factors (www.buypartsby.co.uk) - I generally find their prices and product quality to be as good or better than Blueprint.

Another outfit to try is www.japarts.co.uk. There's probably one or two others if you do a web search, but you'll probably find most of the parts ultimately come from either Blueprint or Nipparts.
Because of the generally very good reliability of Japanese cars there hasn't been the development of a parallel parts supply system - nothing like GSF or ECP, for example. Most pattern Japanese parts are limited to service items because that is where the throughput is.
