Should this read "and wanted this classic to be restored"? Since the guy was so happy that the car got restored, I think the right thing was done. But it could have been similar to having your jigsaw puzzle finished while you were out.

It just goes to prove what a great bunch of guys (and girls) make up the classic car fraternity.
No longer should they be tarnished with the "beardy-weirdy" brush; they can stand proud as warm-hearted car lovers.
