Can anyone please advise whether the 05 Wagon R with the Vaux 1.2MPI engine has a warning light which appears when the vehicle thinks a service is due?
Thank you.

What does the handbook say and/or what does a Suzuki dealer say?
|
If it uses the same system as GM, then the word InSP will appear instead of the mileage on the odometer display for a couple of seconds when you first turn the key.
|
Many thanks Dave, now I am getting somewhere.
Thanks and regards.

Hello Dave.
Sister has just confirmed that there is no " InSP " indication on the dash when the key is turned, just the usual lights and one which says " ESP "
So, back to the original question.
Anyone please ?

Is the Suzuki actually due a service? IIRC, the InSP message will only come on something like 300 or 500 miles / 1 week before the service is due on a Vauxhall.
As for the ESP light. Do you mean EPS? The latter could mean Electronic Stability Programme, whereas the latter is Electronic Power Steering.
|
I have a '06 Suzuki Ignis - EPS means Electric Power Steering. Not sure about WagonR, but for Ignis, only Diesel models have Service required warning light on dash (as per manual). So, exactly which light is on?
|
I don't think that there is any 'service light' on these vehicles.
There is a yellow 'EPS' (electrical power sterring) light which should light briefly when the ignition is turned on and then go out once the car is started.
|
ESP: Electronic stability programme? You need to know whether its on, or more likely, as there is a warning light, off! Is there no manual with the vehicle?
|
A WagonR does not have ESP. The only Suzuki that does have that is the Swift Sport...

Thanks to all for the replies.
Sister is unable to find vehicles handbook at this time.
There are no warning lights of any kind showing at this time, vehicle appears to be running normally.
Yellow light says EPS and refers to power steering. This shows at startup and then goes out as it should.
Last service was done on time basis and vehicle has done well under mileage required to prompt service, so still not clear if there is a service light or not.
Local Suzuki dealer ( from whom she bought the vehicle new ) totally useless on information stakes since change of ownership within last 12 months.
I hope that Aprilia is right and that there is no service light on this vehicle but would welcome definative confirmation.
Thanks again to all.

There is no service light. Its on a 12months/9000 miles basis - whichever comes first.
|
Thanks to you Aprilia and to all who responded.
Rgds.
