Anyone out there know when the new Mazda 2 will be available? SWMBO can't decide between a Yaris and a Corsa - something about the wrong colour of silver....I need an interesting distraction.

Hmmm.... a new one is certainly needed as the current model looks like a modified van i.e. a van that has had windows added to the rear quarters!

If I remember correctly, current Mazda 2 is bascially a Ford.
Is it same for new one as well?

Yes, the next Fiesta (but it will have a different name) will have the same floor pan, suspension, engines.
Like the 3 is related to the Focus, the 5 is related to C-Max and the 6 is related to the (old) Mondeo.
