Anybody have any opinions on this, a mate of mine is thinking of purchasing

Absolutely the dog's twitcher. Magnificent to drive. The 4.2 has so much power it is ridiculous. Very expensive if dented due to aluminium body. The most comfortable car I have ever driven.

Actually, the car was the absolute dog's goolies. I loved it to bits.
Sadly, it was torched. Some irate brazilians pulled my driver out, threw a petrol bomb in and then shut the door. It being armoured, it made one hell of a bang when it went.

I have the 4.2 and it is a wonderful car to drive. The power is fantastic and the whole driving set up is terrific. It eats long journeys and is in my opinion simply the best leaving the German opposition which I have driven in its wake.

Buy second hand/ nearly new to beat the depreciation. However, if your mate needs convincing, suggests he invests 12 quid and views Ronin on DVD - You see the S8 at its best - over 100mph in Paris and and even scary pursuit after an XM into Nice !!! However, HJ will get kittens over the resultant bodyshop repair bill.
