Gear change on my 1994 1.6 Corolla is getting a bit "sticky".....
occasionally difficult to get into 1st, and sometimes reluctant to pull out of 3rd.
Seems to be OK when cold, but particularly bad after a long fast motorway run, then when off hte motorway it is quite sticky afterwards.
have done 114,000 miles, mainly all London traffic work, so its obviously getting worn and had a hard life...
As the cars not worth much, can anyone recommend a different gearoil I can change to and/or an additive to add to the gearbox as well that might coax a few more miles out of it and just ease it a bit.
Its only when its been on the motorway for a while and then driving it on ordinary roads afterwards that its really getting noticeable, but I'm sure it will get worse with time.
