ABS Senor for Galaxy/Sharan

ABS Senor for Galaxy/Sharan - dave2
Hi
Does anyone know if the front ABS sensors on a 1999 TDI Ford Galaxy and VW Sharan are interchanable and are they handed as someone suggested in another posting.

I have been told by GSF that the Sharan unit will fit but they dont have a cross referances so I would like a second opinion please before I order it.
The Ford one is over £70 but the one from GSF is only £50. Big saving over Ford !!!!!

Ford/Vw sensors are the same,so yes they are interchangeable.The problem is removing them from the hub.They usually require some help from a drill/mini grinder as they are very commonly seized in hub.hth

Ill order one from GSF parts, dont know why Ford need to charge so much for everything.

Works both ways on these.I have just ordered an a/c pipe for a Sharan ;£150 from VW ,same pipe £100 from Ford.
