I understand that some parameters of car performance are stored in a 'black box' when any air bags deploy, info for the makers I guess

Under the Data Protection Act surely you have a right to see the data it is recording about you, and correct it if it is wrong?

Strange that both sides in one case refused to accept the black box's figures and preferred the forensic estimate. That's on a par with working out someone's weight from his height and build and refusing to accept the reading from a set of scales!
