Ford Focus suspension - suddone
I have recently bought a T reg Focus 1.6 Zetec off a neighbour, it has a low mileage 21000 because the car has not been used a great deal the suspension has dried out and is knocking on uneven roads, can I use anything to lubricate the rubber bushes like WD40 or is this a bad thing to do.

I would have thought spraying the bushes with WD40 would ultimately make the problem worse. As you say the car has only done 21000 miles, it seems funny that the suspension has "dried out". Are you Suddone that the scourse of your noise is not something else? Like a lose exhaust. If the bushes are shot, the only proper solution would be to replace them.

Thanks for the reply, the car has been stood in a garage for quite a while and I was told by a mechanic that if the car has been unused for long periods the suspention and bushes can dry out.

It can, possibly, though silcon spray is the thing not WD40.
