this geezers got more teflon coating than tony blair, i once heard rumour that he was approached by stevie wonder to see if he could get him a drivers licence

It sounds as though the only evidence they had against him would have been, effectively, a Co-Defendant's evidence from interview, which wouldn't be admissible in any event.

Apart from anything else, the guy is plenty smart enough to get people off apparently difficult charges in open Court without breaching any rules of conduct (I'm sure the police and CPS would *love* to get him if he did) so - why would he give dubious advice to clients that they might then reveal or rely upon?

Even if he had been engaged he could have advised on the state of the law, with the protection of privilege (albeit that a Court could order disclosure of advice if the advice had been used in a crime of perverting the course of justice) without ever going as far as to suggest that the client should mislead.

"The last seven months have been physically, mentally and emotionally draining.
Throughout this time, I have had to cope with a severe and unnecessary strain upon my life."

another way of saying he's about to sue someone for it?

I thought he might have had problems over the family with the private island in the Lake District who got jailed - maybe he will yet.

not guilty? well he wasn't charged with any offence. so of course he is not guilty. just as i am not guilty of millions of offences including murder for which i have never been charged.

also, if i was a solicior who was to be charged for an offence where the witnesses were convicted liars, who had admitted that they lied and conspired initially to avoid a motoring offence, i would say to the court what is to stop them lying again to try and pin it all on someone else.

The viet gwent force would love to have him as a prize.

This force is hated by police officers from other forces, due to their attitude towards motorists

Mr loop-hole not guilty??? - Alyn Beattie
No Brainstorm is North Wales This is the Gwent force in South Wales. Certainly the smallest force in Wales and maybe in the UK.

I was traveling along the A55 on tuesday and saw someone pulled over by one of Brumstrom`s gang. It had blue lights flashing in the back window. Nothing unusual in that, but the cop car was a Ford Galaxy. Volvos and Vauxhalls I can watch out for-but a Ford Galaxy was a bit under the belt in my opinion. The man needs therapy.
Mr loop-hole not guilty??? - boxsterboy
Oh, I don't know. A Galaxy seems fair to me.

In London I have seen plain Police Camrys, Octavias, A3s, Lexus GS300s, 607s, Nissan QXs, as well as the usual suspects.

I bet Freeman is guilty as sin of steering his clients to get them off, but he is clearly very clever, and far too clever to get caught. Allegedly. And of course he is innocent until proven to be a lying dishonest weasel. Etc etc.
Mr loop-hole not guilty??? - Armitage Shanks {p}
A bit harsh Leif! The only people who are 'guilty' of anything are those who frame and define the laws and do it so badly that loopholes are left which knowlegeable and highly paid lawyers can exploit. He is doing what he is paid for, and doing it well, which is more than can be said for our legislators.

I'm not sure if it will have any motoring relevance, but tonight on ITV Yorkshire....

Mr Loophole vs The Cops: Tonight

Monday 07 April
8:00pm - 8:30pm
ITV1 Yorkshire

Lawyer Nick Freeman made millions by exploiting legal loopholes to clear celebrities of driving charges - until his firm found itself at the centre of police allegations of advising a client to lie under oath. Two weeks after his business partner was cleared of any wrongdoing, Freeman speaks exclusively to Tonight about his battle with the Gwent police and how it changed his life.

Same force that ticketed the rally drivers.

The FIA should have transfered it back to North England and lost the Welsh economy a few million, but didn't.
Mr loop-hole not guilty??? - The-Nark
Nick Freeman is one heck of a lawyer, he does'nt find loop holes in the law, he is actually doing us all a favour. Nick gets people off charges brought against them, not by some back handed means, but by challenging the way things are done. When somebody gets a parking ticket, the lines have to be the right colour, unbroken, with signs etc etc, it's the same when you are stopped for speeding, there is a protocol that has to be observed, were you cautioned, was the ticket filled out correctly, did it reach you in the correct time period? Thats how Nick gets people off the hook. Good luck to him I say, laws and regulations work both ways, and if some muppet cant be bothered to post out your summons in time, you desrve to get off the hook. Nick Freeman for Prime Minister, Whoohooooo>> I bet Freeman is guilty as sin of steering his clients to get them off>>

There's plenty of guilty lawyers around here.

Some contradictions between EPG and Radio Times about whether it is on or not.

RT says yes, EPG says no.
