If we all travelled much more quickly, rather than pootling about at 20mph when the road conditions are good for 40 and doing 40 when 80mph is fine then if we used just a small percentage of the time saved to clean our hospitals properly more lives would be saved.

>> www.stoppingdistances.org.uk/ requires Flash Player which I haven't got. I'm wary about installing anything until I know it definitely can't cause problems. Can it? -- L\'escargot.
In my experience Flash is no big deal. Download it and try. If it causes problems you can remove it (Control panel/Add-remove programs).

Is it just me, or do others find this to be a lightweight treatment of serious issues . Not worth the visit.
"The simulator has been produced with support from the Department for Transport to help all drivers improve their road safety knowledge, but may be particularly useful to employers with employees who drive as part of their job, schools and colleges".
Most kids will have been educated with sophisticated games graphics and immediately exit.
Most employees will only look because they have been told to.
Most employers will tell employees to look as it allows them to tick a traing box.
However I cannot think of something better, other than graphic pictures of the real consequences.
