Thought some of you might be interested in this , found on another board,about the preparation of a Bugatti Veyron and the fantastic result obtained.Makes the Sunday morning wash look a bit inadequate !

Why no leave the patina of use on the Veyron and buy a runabout with the detailing fee? :o)

It's a cleaning process using special sort of clay. You can buy a kit with a bar of what looks like soap but feels like a lump of BluTak, together with some stuff you spray on as you go which acts as a lubricant. You wash the car, dry it and then work with the spray and the clay, rubbing over the entire surface to be cleaned. Then you wipe off the liquid residue and admire a very clean surface! Follow up with polish, wax etc. I tried it for the first time last week and it really is good.

Had my previous car detailed. Costs around £200 and the car is immaculate after it's been done.

Don't know the cost in this instance, but the chap doing it charges many thousands I believe.
