buying a used car - Cisco kid
Hi

I was looking some help, I've recently sold a 2002 Mondeo 2.0TDCI which gave me loads of bother with injectors and cost me a fortune to repair, I now need to buy another car and I'm not sure what to buy. I have up to £3000 to spend and don't know whether to go for a petrol or diesel car, I do about 18000 miles a year and need decent enough room for one car seat and a buggy.

I have thought about a 2002 Renault Clio/ Ford Fiesta/Peugeot 106/Peugeot 206, I would like a smaller car that is cheap to tax( £35 for 12 mths if possible) and run.

Could anybody tell me about common faults of the above cars or which of the above cars they would reccommend and roughly the mpg for that car

I have read the 106 has a high 7 out of 9 death rate in accidents? I want a safe car for myself and my kids.
