If the experts got it so wrong 30 years ago, who says today's global warming experts are any better? Discuss

Thoughts of global cooling were behind the film "The Day After Tomorrow" and the scenario was probably as extreme as the current projected forecasts if we do not reduce CO2 emmissions (still not proven to cause global warming).

Bad news is always good copy for newspapers, and politicians use the bad copy to justify some of their actions - especially raising taxes.

My own personal view point is we should conserve the Earth's natural resources as it is good for the long term continuation of mankind, not because some well funded researchers have calculated we are doomed if we do not follow their advice.
