People buy rubbish and then spend more to get it looking like that! Totally staggering!

From the opposite point of view at least it's more constructive than the stereotype of youngsters going out and robbing people/taking drugs.
That said learning to play the violin might at least be slightly less offensive aesthetically.

Exackerly. Far as I'm concerned, regardless of the taste issue, anyone who cares about their car so much is likely to keep it well maintained and to drive it fairly carefully for fear or pranging it. OK - some of them act like fools, but on the whole, at least they're doing something constructive.

I like the Barryboys forum, but I find that a lot of the time it is based on taste, not the condition or quality of the cars involved.

Dare I say it I somtimes like the look of modified cars. - But not the usall chav. tat that drives around.

Which reminds me I saw a Datson 240Z super Samurai the other day (probably a lookie likie) but either way that
is a modified car I like.

Think it's Samuri TVM. I only know this because of a very fruitless search under Samurai a few years back. And I agree, gorgeous car. I don't know how they did it, logically a combination of red and brown sounds vile, but on the car it looks spectacular.

Quite right Baz, they did a silver and blue one as well, not quite as good as the Brown and red.

Theres nothing wrong with modified cars where it is subtly and tastefully done. Seems to me though with the current generation of max power mods, in most cases subtlety goes right out the window (IMHO of course).

Theres a car I?ve seen a few times near our office. It has purple/ green colour changing paint, mirrored windows, 4" wheelarch extensions, massive front and rear spoilers, two big twin exhausts. It took me a couple of sightings to work out what car it was -its an early Lexus LS400.
It looks no better than this one: www.abstyling.co.uk/bodykits/lexus_ls400(2).htm
