My Mondy makes a wierd noise.
It's a 1994 V6 Auto with 96k on the clock and it's whisper quiet under 30, but from around 35 to 60 when driving in a straight line it makes an annoying rumbling noise. Around left hand bends it goes back to being silky smooth. Above 70ish the noise seems a lot quieter too.
There's no knocking in the steering at full lock.
Any ideas what it might be and how much to fix it?
Cheers,
Lou

Sounds like a wheel bearing. When cornering you're either taking off or applying more loading to the bearing, hence why it's quieter around LH bends.
Is the noise worse on RH bends at all?

It's hard to say, maybe a litte worse on RH.
I had a wheel bearing go on a Seat years back, made a very unpleasant noise when it finally gave up.
Cheers,
