Maserati Bi-turbo Spyder - teabelly
Anyone had any experience of one? There are a couple around on autotrader that seem to be half decent and I am feeling like a change of car. The other possibility is an alfa spider but I find those a bit girly....although they would be *far more sensible* and therefore *much less interesting* to own :-)

No personal experience, but has to be expensive to maintain. Renowned for scary handling too.

I have owned integrales so expensive to maintain is something I am used to. Not heard about the scary handling so will have to investigate that or buy many pairs of brown trousers!

By one. It'll be a love affair with all the negative and positives that comes with that particular experience.....I'd have one like a shot if they did a diesel then there's be no point would there :-(

Unless someone makes a diesel that doesn't sound like a bag of spanners rattling in a filing cabinet then no :0) It's on the list of 10 worst cars ever due to poor electrics. Hopefully that is just the earlier ones rather than the later 1992-1994 era I am looking at.

It has something all too rare these days in a car. Soul, real human involvement. I know someone who toyed with one of these in the 90s, he is a pilot and he loved it to bits, I had a drive and I almost got hypnotized as well......they are lovely though.

Once driven, forever smitten. I'd better be careful if I test drive one then! I've not driven anything newer than a 98 alfa so I have no idea what modern cars are like.
