I see the new car market was up 3.1% in March, with superminis up 6.6%.
The New new MINI sales are up by only 2.4%, which must be a bit of a disappointment for BMW now that the new model is fully on stream and production capacity has been increased.
But the gold medal goes to Dodge whose sales are up a massive 28,200% (they sold 566 cars).

How was that percentage figure reached?

Presumably by subtracting last year's sales (which we deduce totalled 2) from this year's 566, and calculating the difference (564) as a percentage of the original.
100 x 564 / 2 = 28,200

Just proves that you can claim anything with statistics if you don't list the base figure...:-)

Exactly. Expect to see a press release soon claiming that Dodge is the 'fastest-growing car brand in the UK' or some such nonsense. What cars do they sell anyway? I can't remember seeing one.

According to this tinyurl.com/yv3rnv they sold 2566 Calibers outside North America in January 2007, so I think there might just be an error in your calculations.
