Nokia have produced a mobile telephone with satnav as well as internet compatibility. Now when people walk down the road shouting furiously at their lovers like drunks or terminal Tourette's syndrome sufferers, they can also be led to walk into trees and lamp posts or fall down people's areas.

It can only be good.

My new (company) blackberry came with integrated gps. Satnav isn't standard, but can be added - on a montly subscription. I think I'll stick with the Navman I've used very happily until now.

It's only a matter of time.

How long before you hear someone shouting "Hello? Yeah hi, I'm on the pavement...heading in North Easterly direction"

You mean you haven't heard that (or something very similar) several thousand times already?

At least that's harmless. It's these furious curses, apparently into the empty air, that I find unsettling. All right, you see the guy's headset or wires, but there's still something functionally barmy about it.

In fact if I am ever afflicted by Tourette's (my wife sometimes claims I am already) I'll get one of those headsets just so people will think I'm talking to someone.

There was an old man with Tourette's
Who murmured: 'Among my regrets
Is my failure to shine
In the murmuring line
Because of this - ANUS! - Tourette's.'

Sitting in my local last night, a very unpretentious pub, there was a guy who must have been 50 sitting with his wife having a quiet drink but wearing a bluetooth headset.

I can only assume he must have thought he looked cool.

As mentioned earlier, the just released Nokia N 95 has satnav built in.

The satnav provided is CoPilot Live. Which? magazine tested satnavs in March 2007.

The CoPilot scored 50%, the lowest score, the top score was 89%. Which? said "The CoPilot impressed us least of all the satnavs we tested".

So perhaps use a different one?
