'53 Astra ABS light - mare

Question 1 on '53 Astra

Friend of mine recently bought a 53' reg 1.6 Astra Club with the 8v 1.6 petrol engine. She is complaining that the ABS light comes occasionally, and sometimes the speedometer stops reading.

Before we take it back to dealer, does anyone have any ideas what this might be?

Sounds possibly an abs sensor fault.The speedo signal is also supplied from the abs system.hth

Thanks, that does help. Are iffy ABS sensors a common thing?
