Anyone know if the front wings on a 205 are bolt one or if there is some welding? Thanks

Cheers LP seems like a tour of the local breakers is on the agenda this weekend. Wonder how many different shaded of white Pug produced the 205 in. Bet I find every shade except mine, also bet every bolt comes off like a dream except the last one. Cynical who ? moi

Slightly off topic last 205 I saw in a breakers the other week still had the factory finish primer on the slam panel, good way to tell if a 205 has ever been front ended & seen paint.

Only ever one white, but various shades of oxidisation are possible.
I had a white 205 XS from new (my first company car!) but a change of jobs meant I had to bid farewell after only 18 months/35,000 miles. Great car (E46FLK where are you now?)

This one is a 1989 1.4 cj cabriolet with just me and one previous lady owner. Still under 100k and goes fine. Straight through the last 5 MOTs without a problem. Cost me buttons five years ago and I'll be sorry to see her go this summer when she's up for sale. Some good memories....

wings are not worth buying secondhand, the OE ones are bonded as well as bolted and will be destroyed by the time you remove one. I bought a pair of pattern wings off ebay in the last few months, only aorund £20ish each and they were a great fit, a little fettling here and there but nothing an OE wing wouldnt need anyway. here is a link to the sellers shop that I bought from

Hopefully it went down in a blaze of glory on some stock car circuit - 1.4 205s seem quite popular for this these days.
