I have gen3 se with just 4500mls on it and problem seems to have arisen with headlights misty up.It happened yesterday when we had sun and rain but was clear by this morn.Its happened again tonight when its been sunny all day when I parked with lights facing sun.Has anyone else had this problem as phoned dealer tonight but service was shut so need to wait till tomorrow.It would be helpfull if i had any info on this as have already checked to see there are no chips on glass and seals seem ok

Condensation, obviously. I don't this car very well, but have you checked to see if there are vents in the headlights? If no chips, broken seals then consider drilling a small vent hole in the bottom of the unit.

HI this will be the seal round the head lite etc. take it to the dealer they will get a tec 2 to have a look for you. There might be a tec note to be carried out on it .hope this helps

thanks to both of you for your reply and i will go to dealer for them to check it out.More annoying than anything else but I did get a mot failure on my volvo because one of the lights was steamed up

HI yes they will some times fail it for having that. Because it will put the beam off light out of shape when they put it on the tool to check the beam. hope this helps

I took car to dealer today and they have ordered new lights which they will get friday.So taking car in monday to get them fitted.As i had already checked for chips or cracks and nothing wrong there or seal the warranty manager had no option but to say that there was something wrong elsewhere but never said it was common problem with them.But going by replies on Hyundai site it is common

Got the new headlights fitted yesterday but then car wouldnt start.Dont know what they done but it took them 4 hours to put right..They said it was immobilser/alarm thing under dash that was loose but doubt that as car had been running and starting no problem.At least alls well so far
