Alloy Wheel Repaint - Deryck Tintagel
Just got a wheel back for the Vectra and the match to other wheels and the centre cap is not at all good. Are there any paint experts out there who could tell me if it is reasonable to expect the alloy to match the centre cap? Is it possible to match the original colour?

Yes, there are loads of shades of silver and different sizes of metal flakes. The refurb should include paint matching - obviously you have to give them another alloy to match to.

Thanks Aprilia. Curiously the centre cap was repsprayed with the wheel as the guy had done the job once before and the finish wasn't good so I asked him to do it again. Better finish but even then the cap still doesn't match! It does seem to match the other wheels though.

I have put it down to the difference between the plastic cap and the alloy.
