1997 hyundai coupe sunroof - adam f
on the car the sunroof has 2 "settings". it tilts up and also slides all the way back. now the sunroof does tilt and slide as it should, however when i close it, it no longer slots into place an stays at a slight tilt. i can hear the motor whining to try and pull it right down but then it just gives up.
i rang hyundai to see how much a new motor is and they quoted £388 + vat, thats not including labour.
if any has any advice i would be gratefull

That is day light robbery, a scrap yard may well be the best bet, but on such an old car I would just get a garage to force it shut and never use the sunroof.
