does anyone know what the bhp is on the rare 1.6 306 xsi?

never heard of a 306 1.6 xsi, sure they were only 2litre 8 valve which was 120bhp or the 2 litre 16v which was 130bhp. only 1.6 engines peugeot did were the 8v which was 90bhp and the later 16v which was either 120 or 130bhp or thereabouts which was found in the 106 gti and saxo vts. never heard of the 16v engine in a 306 so would go it's the 90bhp 8valve

apparently its a '306 xsi 1.6 select limited edition'. Im sure ive heard 1 before, but there are extremly rare.

if it's anything like the rest of the 306 range then it will likely be the 90bhp engine with a better trim level. at a guess maybe sports interior and rear discs, full electrics package and possibly aircon

i wouldn't ever get rid of a td to goto the 1.6. the td can be tuned to be quicker than the 1.6, is more reliable than the 1.6 if looked after and the mpg is better. what's wrong with your td?

i can't think why they would do a 305 XSI with a 1.6 engine because they called that the 306 XS,...the XSI was identical spec except for a 2.0 engine. Mk II XS's had a 1.8 8v engine.

1.6 xs never had rear discs

on the td, needs new rad, new heater matrix plus a near side front wing, because some idiot scrapped down the side of it when was parked outside my house. not long had rear axle on, front sus arms plus wishbones.

if they did a 90 bhp 1.6 XSI with rear disk brakes and a special edition sticker im not surprised they didn't sell many .

weather its a xs or xsi, is it guna be quite slow?

Not a slow car, the early XS i have in they yard now feels quicker than a td around town, suspect it won't fair so well on the motorway

only a days work personally i wouldn't get rid on those grounds
