I own an 02 Ford Focus 2.0i Zetec (59000 miles) which has started to judder quite noticeably at low revs in high gear (generally 4th and 5th) if the accelerator is depressed at a medium to hard rate. If the gas pedal is depressed gently at low revs in these higher gears than the judder is barely noticeable although acceleration is not as smooth as it could be. This has never happened before but started occuring recently after a particularly "vigourous" drive. What could this be???

if the clutch is slipping it may be getting hot , put it in forth rev it up and let the clutch out if it doesnt stall you need a new clutch plate
