Rover 414 Si -wet footwell

Rover 414 Si -wet footwell - vettylu
I have just got my first car, a P reg Rover 414. I think its great, but last week after leaving it overnight in heavy rain , the drivers side footweel was soaked and had a pool of water in it.

My Dad says he's looked in all the obviuos places, sunroof, hoses, door seals , windscreen seal but can't see any obvious place for the water to get in.

Anyone any good idea where he should look next?

Have you checked to make sure its not coolant,you would smell anti freeze if it was,just a thought.

They dont normally leak in the front, usually main leaks are from rear lamp clusters and through the rear wiper motor

Fairly certain its not coolant. No smell and seemed clear.

Check bottom of doors,they have drain holes sometimes they get blocked,also plastic sheet behind door trim may have come away from door,off hand I cannot think of anything else that would cause it
