Has anyone else noticed the current Yaris ad, attractive young woman deliberately demolishes bf's model aircraft because two days earlier he has shut the door of her new Yaris with his foot while helping her to unload it?
Obviously supposed to be a joke, but the message is that Yarises are bought by ruthless, petty, vindictive women. Don't fancy them much anyway (Yarises I mean) but if I were a young woman the ad might put me off.

I think the same pitch was used before by either Corsa or Ka, girl visits her boyfriend, they go outside to check out her new car, he kicks tyre and she promptly starts kicking him to the ground...

I love the Yaris advert - confirms my belief that women are evil ;) There is another one - attaractive woman is shoping with her BF, she puts a pair of pink frilly knickers into his pocket without him knowing, he gets stopped by security on way out GF is no where to be seen. His crime was to drop crumbs in the passanger footwell whist eating.

There's no pleasing some people. She should be glad that he's actually helping her unload the car, instead of sloping off indoors and cracking a beer open in front of the telly, while she does all the work.

I like the Yaris advert, (I like R/C aircraft anyway so I'm biased)
I think the acting on it is excellent too, very natural and spontaneous.

That's the advert for those who aren't drawn to the idiot lantern.

I quite like the current "...or else" ad campaign. One thing that struck me was that it was targetting a very specific market. I suppose that may be the market sector they want to get more of a foothold into....
