Winter Tyres a Sucess in Snow? - Glaikit Wee Scunner {P}
Been driving my Passat PDI , with ESP etc., in snow the past few days on Vredestein Quatrac 2.
Am happy with the extra grip and overtook several cars which were slewing about. Main problem was road closure or obstruction by other vehicles. On the whole though I think they are a resonable compromise.
Anyone else comment on their tyres in the recent difficult conditions?

Fitted Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2s on to my 206 last week.

Only time the snow effected it was when trying to drive around carparks that hadn't been gritted or cleared, just pulled away in 2nd gear instead.

One think I would say about the 206 is that its nice to finally drive a car with an ABS system that isnt bothered about the snow on the ground.

My old 405 with ABS was lethal in the snow, so much so I used to disconnect it until the snow cleared up.
