M62 this morning Leeds - Manchester - barchettaman
The current online information suggests this motorway is clear, but I´m looking for confirmation that the M62 is open and passable before Mrs Barchetta attempts it this morning (she has FWD and winter tyres).

I live a few miles to the North of Birch services at about 650 ft above sea level and there is no snow here at all, the tops of the Pennines which I can normally see from the house are in cloud.

If she's coming from Yorkshire best to warn her that we have new fangled things like electricity over this side now. I'd be concerned that the sensory overload might be too much

M62 this morning Leeds - Manchester - Citroënian {P}
I'm up at the top between Leeds and Manchester and although there's snow about, the motorway is fine, traffic moving freely. It's a bit quieter than usual, but that's it.

Even last night in a blizzard is was no problem at all as I came back from Manchester.
