I have a friend who is pining for two of his perviously owned cars.
If he could find out who owned them, I'm fairly sure that he would make the new owners very generous offers to buy them back.
Is there a way that he could contact the current owners of these vehicles?

Try contacting the owners' clubs?

First thing is to confirm whether the car still exists. To do this go on to the DVLA website and you can confirm the current status. If it does exist then I beliee the DVLA (for a charge) will contact the owner on your behalf, acting as an intermediary.

Both cars do still exist. He has confirmed that. One is a Y reg. Rover Mini Cooper Sport - so perhaps that shall be able to be located through an owners' club (though no guarantees - as I certainly don't divulge my reg. no.s to the owners clubs I'm in...just in case).
The other car is a T reg Rover 75 1.8 - so unlikely to be as cherished by its new owner!

If he can convince DVLA that his is a legitimate reason for getting RK's details then for a fiver a throw they may condesend to supplying.
