The transmission was rebuilt at 200,000 miles and the hood and a few other parts replaced after eight deer collisions, but otherwise it has original equipment.
Sloppy reporting here I think. On original discs and pads - I wouldn't have thought so. A one million mile clutch - not very likely or am I being too cynical?

Quite so! A million miles is impressive but I am sure it has 'consumed' more than a hood and a gear box!

Being a yank, I assume it will be an automatic, so no clutch to wear out. This report says it had three new head gaskets, but "the engine was largely untouched".
It does say he is meticulous about maintenance, so stuff like brake pads are not mentioned.
It also says he changed the tyres every 45k miles, so he must have driven it like a right old woman!!

Not really that impressive what with Irv Gordon having over 2 million on his Volvo P1800.
I think there are several million mile Volvos on the High Mileage List on their website.
It is however an impressive feat - I wonder if a Focus could do that?

A Focus could well do 1 million miles, Just stock up on a pallet load of rear wheel bearings first.
