Brake lights always on on the above car (2000 model).
First thoughts were faulty brake light switch; but it doesn't appear to have one !
Any ideas welcome, especially from 206 experts.

Who's had a passenger with big feet then? Have a look in that footwell on the brake cross-shaft....
Stupid idea... or what?
|
Thanks will have a look.
It's not my car, but I might have been that passenger !
|
Easy, have a look behind the glovebox & either plug the connector back in or clip the switch back into the bracket.
206 brake lights fail safe in the ON position.

Thanks guys !
What a wonderful design ! NOT !!
But it took longer to get into the footwell and back up again than it did to refit the switch.
Not a sign of age surely ?

Theres nothing wrong with the design, it works fine for the millions of 206s out there on the road, its also good because they fail in the ON position as well.

So a simple switch protection plate for the stupid rost-bifs, that drive on the wrong side of the road, wouldn't be an improvement on the design then?
I will admit that it's a lot easier to get at than a 306's one though.

Doesnt really matter now the 206 has been replaced, PSA are not going to waste money on a simple protection plate for us right hand drive people when the system already designed works fine.
