I have recently had the clockspring replaced on my Mondeo, this has solved an intermitent airbag warning light problem apparent when using lots of steering lock i.e. parking etc. Thanks screwloose etc for the advise.
All seems well however I have noticed that the airbag light is the last to go out, it stays on for a second or so after the others, I guess this has always been the case though I dont recall noticing it before, could it indicate that a fault code needs clearing or similar?
Thanks.

No. That sounds right to me.

Thanks Aprilia, I was thinking of a friend who had another friend change the clock spring on his Galaxy then had to visit the dealer to get the fault code removed though that of course was VAG electrics.

If memory serves, it should be on for six seconds - then extinguish. That's always been a bit longer than the others; so don't worry.
Rectifying the fault clears the code on these.

Between 5 and 6 seconds it is, thanks screwloose.
