hi,my brother has just bought this car ande it keeps overheating and the cooling is evaporating,and has to fill the radiator every 30 minutes.the car is a 2.0L and V reg with 100.000 on the clock.someone reckons the thermostat,another says its the head gasket,any suggestions?

Have you had a compression test? or a coolant pressure test? every 30 mins is a bit drastic best get it looked at before the engine goes bang altogether!

Evaporating or leaking? Check all the usual places (hose entry/exit points, water pump, radiator very carefully as losing coolant this quickly points to a leak!

If there is no big pool of water under the car it is the head gasget.
