Hi,
My dad has a 2002 Vectra 1.8. The windsreen washer isn't working. It's not blocked, as there is no sound from the motor when you try to use it. I have suggested it may be the fuse, but even after consulting the user manual, I can't find which is the correct fuse. It simply isn't listed in the manual ???
Can anyone help ?
Cheers

2002 was when the Vectra-C was launched, so is this the previous Vectra-B or current C?
|
Sorry about that. It's the B (The older shape)

According to Haynes it's No. 14 - 30A. Same one as the wipers. Do they work?

Motor frozen solid with the recent low temps?
|
No. It's been like it for a couple of weeks now, even when it was at least 14 degree above.
Thanks.

When I had no sound from a Cavalier washer pump motor is was because the washer pump motor needed replacing.

If I can rule out a blown fuse, then I'll have to look into that possibility. Thanks !

If it has a rear wiper and the washer doesn't work for that either (they share the same motor, but polarity is reversed when you want to squirt the fronts or rears), then chances are the motor has failed or the wires have become detached. If you have a multimeter then check the output voltage at the connector that plugs onto the motor.

Will get it checked Dave. Cheers
