Hi my vw passat has started giving me problems again!
When driving along if you take your foot of the accelerator every now and then you get a realy loud vibration coming from under the car. Depress the clutch and the noise goes ! Is it the Clutch ?

Could be clutch/flywheel. Do you think it related to road speed, rpm or load?

It seems to be happening when changing up ,through the gears !

This sounds like the dual mass flywheel is about to fall apart. Regards Peter

hi mate,
try this place: www.vosa.gov.uk then look for the vehicle recall database. i believe there was something about DM flywheel on most of the VAG cars. all the best

Defintely the DMF I would say. And don't leave it too long before getting it replaced - could do some damage if left.
