I have a buddy think of buying one of these, who has asked if there is anything he should be aware of or known problems
I know these things have an easy life, but my own advice is that the thing is going to be massively underpowered for modern roads. Has anyone any useful information?

Assuming it is a coachbuilt MH tell him to buy a damp meter from B&Q and check the rear very carefully as in a 'van of that age the wooden framing could well be rotten if the seam sealing has degraded.
This doesn't apply if it is a panel van conversion of course.
IMHO the engine & drivetrain almost certainly will outlast the caravan bit, the problem is that MH's are usually priced at a considerable premium to the value of the chassis cab.

Ask yourself would you buy a 19 year old delivery van with windows ?.I would have thought it would be better to buy a newish sprinter and convert it yourself or a caravan.
