Is it ok to use Miller plus injector cleaner in my Passat 115 BHP tdi PD Engine------if not is there another brand which would do the job--?
Millers Diesel Power Sport 4 is a modern state of the art fuel treatment that is suitable for,Euro IV onwards, emission compliant vehicles, whilst also providing a tangible improvement to vehicle performance.
VAG specifically warn against the use of fuel or lubricant additives. What problem are you trying to overcome? In my experience, these engines work very well with the specified fluids for a long time. Problems arise when incorrect maintenance is carried out, particularly in respect of the engine oil specification.
The VAG service literature is a model of contorted and confusing data - no wonder their engines suffer in the real world.

I'd stick with a premium fuel such as BP Ultimate - it smells much like Milers and claims to have the same effects and has the advantage of not going against VAG's recommendations
Since the day i brought my mk5 golf TDi i've used shell diesel extra with no problems. I was warned when i brought the car not to use cheap supermarket diesel as the injector don't like it.
What, if any, harm could it do ?
Millers additive works out at 2p per litre at mail order prices. Much cheaper than the 8p or so extra charged by BP or Shell for the premium diesel fuels.

I wasna fu but just had plenty.
Shell extra diesel is the cheapest fuel in my area, 89.9ppl.
I thought that Millers plus did the car good, I have put it in my VW before with no problems. Is it just the new VW's that should not have Millers plus?
Shell extra diesel costs no more than supermarket fuel around here, price matching etc.
Belt and braces man myself, 55 reg Mondeo 2.0 TDCi, Shell Diesel Extra and Millers Diesel plus, mainly for the sake of lubricity of the CR pump rather than any power gains.
Shell Extra is the basic Diesel so it will be competetive on price.
Shell V-Power replaced Ultimate diesel.
V-Power and BP Ultimate are the dearer fuels that smell like Millers Power Plus. Which seems to have been replaced anyway by a newer version, suitable for the latest Euro spec engines.

Delete Shell Ultimate , replace by Shell Optimax.

Interesting, doesn't Shell Diesel or BP Ultimate provide lubricate ?
I now have a Focus 1.6 TDCi so I'm curious.
What does Millers Diesel plus cost and how long have you been using it for ?
I've used fuel and oil additives before on an Astra GTE 16v for 90k+ miles and a Focus 1, the engines were still as good as new and no engine problems during that time before I sold them. Both buyers were staggered at how smoothly they both ran.

Yes, but Shell Diesel Extra does smell like it's stuffed full of additives. :)

V-Power is petrol not Diesel. Shell diesel extra has mean't to have a higher cetane number to boost economy and performance.
What's the cetane value of Shell Extra ?
What benefits have people noticed when using miller plus ?
Does your car accelerate better, run smoother, help fuel economy etc. ?
V-Power is petrol not Diesel.
Tis now.
Shell have got v-power diesel in a fair number of garages now but i have never used it.
My nearest garage that sells ultimate is ten mile away and twenty for the v-power so my golf gets ultimate(never put anything else in since it was new).
Could be wrong but i think normal diesel cetane is 55 and ultimate is 58 but not sure what v-power is yet.

I have been running both my cars(petrol and diesel) on the cheapest fuel(with no additives) I can find for as long as I can remember;I've not had any fuel-related problems on these or any of my previous vehicles-many of which ran to high milages. What am I doing wrong????

I'll create a new thread about Shell V power diesel to gather some feedback to keep this miller plus thread,
