when im sat at the lights with my heater on "hot" i get an oily burning smell in the car but when i drive off the smell dissapears,it doesnt do it when the heater is set to "cold" at all though.....how queer...any ideas people?

Probably an oil leak onto the exhaust somewhere.

Take it to a Ford Garage and have them do a Free healthcheck on all the problems you have noted.
