A2 had an enourmous roof (Opensky) as an option - not available new now.

Surely I'm not the only one to have noticed this correlation between Zafira ownership and a certain 'road ownership' attitude

I thought it was just me, until someone this came up in conversation with mentioned the same observation... Though in fairness my grumpiness is a factor in this (and last night I was breaking the wise dont drink and post rule). Anyway as it is just an impression based on a limited section of Zafira drivers, then I've been unlucky.... Will take the opposite experience to shake this impression though.

Fiat Stilo, Panda, Grande Punto (I think) have panoramic "skyroof" options. There are large, or double, sunroofs offered on the Renault Espace and Fiat Ulysee/Citroen C8/Peugeot 807.
Another possibility is the Land Rover Discovery, which can be festooned with sunroofs, skylights etc. The 2.7 V6 diesel would sneak in under OP's £25,000 budget according the the Auto Trader link if a jeep suits his needs.

The new re-designed C-Max will have a panoramic roof.

The Citroen C4 hatch and coupes have a fixed panoramic roof option, as well as the new C4 Picasso.
