New split ring for Polo airbag - polo auto

I recently took my Polo (1999 1.4 automatic) to a local VW specialist as the airbag warning light had come on permanently. After hooking it up to the diagnostic computer they've told me that the split ring that goes around the steering column has sheared (do they mean slip ring?) and I will need a new one. They've quoted me £90 for this part (plus labour costs of course) - just wondered if this sounds reasonable?

I would suggest that you check the price of the part.The last slip ring I replaced on one of these was about £45-50.
