Removing sill and pillar trim (Toledo) - mss1tw
Does anyone know how to remove the trim from the sill area and the B (?) pillar in order to lift the carpet? I can't see any obvious screws, and don't want to try just pulling it and seeing what happens!

Thanks.

It'll most likely be on pop in type clips.

Brute force and ignorance are the best ways to remove them, and then usually a load of glue sticking bits of plastic back together ;-)

If you can get hold of a "pigs foot" or Crows foot" tool, it will help a lot for these types of jobs.

Thanks AR-CoolC - Where would the best place be?

Oh, any tool factors will sell something appropriate. It may be described as a pigs foot, a crows foot, a trim remover etc.

Presuming its similar to the Octavia (mechanically identical):-

After pulling away the door seal the B pillar trim should just "pop" off. The door/sill trims can then be removed. You may have to "pop" the plastic trim in the footwells/A pillar which are secured by a couple of screws hidden behind a prise out bit of plastic.
