90 bhp or 110 bhp 2 litre HDI lump?

If its the 110 bhp version it could be the dual mass flywheel on the way out, if it is this lump does it squeak when you switch it off from around the gearbox area?

no its a 90 bhp but was told by a mate it could be flywheel

Im 99.9% sure the 90 bhp 2 litre HDI does NOT have a dual mass flywheel fitted.

I had this on a company 406 diesel (XUD engine) and it was the rear crankshaft oil seal leaking onto the clutch plates.

New clutch and new oil seal fixed it.

i have heard of the flywheel develpoing cracks in certain places mostly through hard driving. might be an idea to get the flywheel checked & the rear main seal while you there!

ok, looks like thats the way to go.change clutch and see what else they find.

Is it a cable ot hydraulic clutch on these?

I know the hydraulic version is a sealed unit ( but dirt cheap ) when it goes wrong.

The cable versions do wear out / lazy auto adjustors.

No idea which is fitted to this though, I would guess being a HDI hydraulic ( but its a pure guess )

no you are correct it is hydraulic on this car
