I had previously found a site that told you what car a particular registration number was attached to and now I can't track it down. It was a mainstream site which surprised me. Can anyone throw any light on this please.
Best regards............MD.

Look on the RAC website, there basic data search will tell you make & model from a reg number.

Thanks Lee. Found what I needed straight away.

They've recently removed the last change of keeper date from this site which was quite useful.
The site seems to use two separate databases for checks, there is a Data Search, and a Status Check, albeit with differing amounts of detail. If a registration doesn't show on the Data Search it may do on the Status Check.

The DVLA site is quite useful too - tells you when a car was last taxed.

RAC site is way out of date - lists the wife's number as the 2002 206CC we sold in 2002. number is now on the third car since the 206!

Interesting Ian, does it show wrong on both the data search and status check? It's usually right for one if not the other.

check both...1 is wrong on mine and 1 is 100% correct....
