Am I correct in saying that the vertical adjusters appear to require a key or adaptor? If so, who supplies please?

I would imagine you require a hexagonal cross-section key that has a right-angle bend ~ commonly called an Allen key. They're available at most DIY stores and motor factors ~ or from a friend. You'll need to know the "across flats" dimension though unless you buy a set. It's likely to be a metric size, not imperial.

Have you tried phoning either your local Ford dealer, or any place that does MOTs (they should know because of headlight alignments) and asking them?
