Hiya, Anyone got any ideas for me? My corsa 51 is struggling to go into 1st gear and 2nd gear! Getting really annoying but fine in other gears! Help!!!

Is reverse gear to the left of 1st & 2nd?
If so it may be worn bushes at the bottom of the gear lever resulting in the gear lever hitting the reverse gear stop before reaching the 1st & 2nd gate. ( I had exactly the same symptons on my Volvo 740; cured by new bushes and judicious adjustment of stop )
Even if it isn't the stop it still seems like it could be a problem with the linkage rather than clutch or gearbox

It needs a new gear linkage, my sister had this problem with her 51 corsa sxi. The bushes on the linkage wear out. Think it is a common problem on this shape corsa.

Yes would agree it is probably the linkage,and it is a common fault on these cars.Is it me or does the gearchange feel notchy on corsa "c" 's compared to the likes of fords/hondas?

yeah, it is quite notchy on the corsa compared to any other! Thanks for the help! Had it seen by the garage and it is the gear linkage. So it's booked in for next week for the sum of around £70-£80! Thanks again
