good news on local humps - barney100
Basingstoke's new council has now promised to remove speed humps from a local road due to public pressure in 2007/8. apparently several humps removed will cost £100,000 !

It's not because people complained, it's because council's favourite contracts need something to do. They probably have new humps scheduled for 2008/2009 already.
