Does anyone know what modifications where made by Ford to increase the ST24 Duratech engine to the 205PS of the ST200. I have found so far that the ST200 has tuned heads and camshafts, a larger throttle body and a low pressure exhaust.
I'm sure they did much more to get the extra power, but cannot find anything on it.

Presume you are talking about the Mondeo? Have you tried asking on the Ford Mondeo Owners web site? The anoraks there know everything!!

It runs different fuel and ignition maps as well.
The standard 2.5 V6 is very softly tuned at 170PS, and the head / breathing mods, cams and revised maps are more than enough to make up the extra 30PS

Dont mean to sound odd, but wouldnt it be easier and less hassle to just go buy a proper st200, i say that as for me personaly i wouldnt go out of my way to try and butter a car up to another model which it isnt.
Prob actually cost less too, i once spoke to a chap who was trying to sell a mondeo lx mk3 which he had done up to look like an st220, i just didnt see the point.
